FIELD: construction industry.
SUBSTANCE: ceramics has general formula Gd2O2S, alloyed M, where M appears to be at least one element chosen from the group that consists of Yb, Dy, Sm, Ho, Ce, and/or Pr, with said fluorescent ceramics having only one phase in its volume. Fluorescent ceramics method of production includes the following stages: choosing of powdery alloyed pigment Gd2O2S, with said powder grain size of 1 micron to 20 microns, hot-pressing performed in vacuum with the temperature of 1000°C to 1400°C and/or pressure of 100 MPa to 300 MPa, and annealing in the air with the temperature of 700°C to 1200°C within 0.5 to 30 hours.
EFFECT: improvement of fluorescent ceramics luminous efficiency and persistence.
