FIELD: heating, drying.

SUBSTANCE: invention deals with gas pipeline test and repair techniques and is to be implemented in gas industry. The proposed gas pipe drying installation consists of a vacuum pump with an injector connected on the suction side thereof, the main conduit pipe connecting the vacuum pump suction nipple to the disconnected and pressurised section of the gas pipe and a conduit pipe connecting the injector operating nozzle to the atmosphere. On the conduit pipe connecting the injector operating nozzle to the atmosphere there is an air reheater mounted. A conduit pipe arranged parallel to the main one connects the injector inlet chamber to the disconnected and pressurised section of the gas pipe. Between the injector diffuser and the vacuum pipe there is a cooler device installed. The connecting conduit pipes are equipped with shutoff elements. The air reheater is a represented by a gas burner type device connected to a section of the gas main currently in operation and equipped with a shutoff element and a pressure regulator. The cooler unit is represented by an air heat exchanger fabricated of finned pipes and equipped with a condensate collector reservoir. The cooler unit is designed as a water-spray scrubber equipped with a water collector reservoir and a cooler stack.

EFFECT: material reduction of capital, operational and time expenditures related to a disconnected gas main section drying.
