FIELD: physics, measurement.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to devices for control of substance admixtures content in gas with application of mostly photoionised detector and method of its operation. Procedures of analysis and cleaning of internal surfaces are also considerably simplified. Gas analyser comprises gas detector, absorber device and flow agitator arranged in the form of reservoir with alternating volume, in which piston is installed that is actuated by drive enabling its reciprocal motion. Method for gas analyser operation is characterised by the fact that specified volume of analysed gas is passed through measuring chamber of detector with the help of flow agitator in one direction, with simultaneous absorption of measured components and moisture from analysed gas in absorber device, and then, with the help of flow agitator, analysed gas purified from measured components and moisture is passed through measuring chamber of detector in reverse direction.
EFFECT: simplification of gas analyser design and higher reliability of operation.
