FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: present invention pertains to Siberian stag breeding, particularly to the method of feeding maral-stags. The essence of the method lies in feeding maral-stags during the spring period in rations consisting of hay, silage, oats, and dried beet pulp, in the following ratio of components, in wt %: hay - 20.0-30.0; silage - 55.0-65.0; oats - 10.0-12.5; dry beet pulp - 2.5-5.0. Feeding in the given rations starts 2 weeks before weight loss.
EFFECT: method increases production of maral-stags, reduces consumption of concentrates, reduces susceptibility of maral-stags to attack by fly larva.
