FIELD: sewage treatment facilities.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to processing of beryllium-containing ore concentrates with preparation of beryllium sulfate solution. Method for extraction of beryllium from beryllium concentrates includes mechanical activation of concentrates, low temperature sulfatisation of activated concentrates with sulfuric acid with continuous mechanical removal of reaction products from the surface of concentrate particles, high temperature sulfatisation of activated concentrates with sulfuric acid, water leaching of sulfatised product, leaching pulp separation into solution of beryllium sulfate and cake, water flushing of cake from beryllium sulfate, separation of flushing pulp into flushing solution and waste cake. High temperature sulfatisation of beryllium concentrate is done in presence of bertrandite-phenacite-fluorite concentrate at mass ratio of beryllium and bertrandite-phenacite-fluorite concentrates in their mixture in the range of 0.1:1 -2:1.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to increase extent of beryllium extraction into sulfate solution.
