FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention refers to method for making filter foamed ceramics to be used as a filter element, specifically for cleaning of aluminium and aluminium alloys from slag enclosures in producing and manufacturing molded products, in cleaning of industrial gas emissions, aqueous runoffs and mixed organic fluids, as well as catalyst supports. Method for making foamed ceramics involves as follows. Three-dimensional polyurethane mesh is soaked in ceramic slurry with removed excess ceramic slurry. Samples are dried 18-25°C up to 6-8 hours, at 100-150°C up to 2 hours and heat hardening at 450-500°C up to 3 hours. Ceramic slurry contains as follows, wt %: high modulus liquid glass 50-75, aluminium hydroxide 20-40, high-aluminous cement or corundum to 30, industrial carbohydrates 3-5, process water in amount required to ensure the optimal consistence.
EFFECT: filter cost saving.
