FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to cam-type motion converters and can be used in piston-type ICE. In compliance with this invention, the proposed converter comprises, at least, four pistons with mechanisms arranged regularly around p.t.o.-shaft at an angle to vertical. The mechanism consists of the frame coupled with piston and fitted in the engine housing. The said frame accommodates a gear seated on the shaft. There is a cam on the shaft fitted into roller to move along the closed cam profile. The cam profile evolvent is formed by horizontal and inclined rectangular sections, while the said gear engages in turns with racks mounted in the housing on both sides of previously mentioned gear. Racks are driven via the mechanism of tie rods and rollers linked up with the cam control system arranged on the flywheel and running in phase with reciprocating gear.
EFFECT: higher efficiency.
