FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: present invention pertains to power engineering and is meant for use in valves and piping of thermal and atomic power stations, working at high differential pressure of actuating medium. The valve has housing with inlet and outlet pipes. A seat and a coupling rod with a shutting-off device are fitted in series inside the housing. The shutting off device is made with gate arranged in series on the number on seats. The seats are on the inner surface of a bushing. The bushing is coaxially fitted in the housing, forming an outlet cavity. At the bottom of the bushing, there are outlet windows. The outlet pipe is in the upper area of the outlet cavity. The shutting off device is in form of a step-plunger - rod with cylindrical gates. The diameter of the latter is greater than the diameter of the rod. The throttle-working part of the cylindrical gates is made with tapered, expanding towards the bottom - to the outlet along the flow of actuating medium, triangular grooves with a rectangular cross section, open on the butt end.

EFFECT: increased reliability and service life of the valve.
