FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: essence of invention consists in carrying out of measurings with help of lightguide clearance gauge entered on explored medium and consisting of several multimode or single-mode light guides. The light moves on one of them on medium, others transmit diffused light to the device providing its spatial coherence and further to photodetector. The auxiliary light guides serve for relation definition between breadths of spectroscopic lines of nonsingle and unitary dispersion of light in case of measurings in very turbid mediums and for definition of the sizes of particles on a spectrum nonsingle, instead of unitary dispersion.

EFFECT: invention does not demand placing of suspension sample in optical basin, provides raised stability to noises arising because of presence of dust in the sample.
