SUBSTANCE: method includes search of defect record element, in which status information indicates that defect unit or replacement unit has been repeatedly initialised without certification, from list of defects for control of carrier and including information on defect unit status and replacement unit status information; at that carrier includes reserve area for recording of replacement unit for replacement of defect unit, which occurs in the area of user data on carrier; and certification of defect unit or replacement unit registered in sought-for element of defect record.

EFFECT: information on defects may be efficiently re-ordered for fast repeated initialisation without certification to increase efficiency of drive system.
