METHOD OF ANALYSIS FOR TIME AND EXTENT OF LOCOMOTORIUM SURGERY IN SEVERE ASSOCIATED MULTITRAUMA Russian patent published in 2009 - IPC A61B10/00 G01N33/53

Abstract RU 2353300 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, particularly to surgery and traumatology and to be applied in clinics and departments specialising in treatment of severe associated multitrauma. Method rests on predicted data of severity and clinical course of wound dystrophy in acuity and early period and involves blood serum analysis for procalcitonin concentration. If procalcitonin concentration is ≤0.5 ng/ml, internal osteosynthesis surgery is considered to be acceptable. The method ensures accurate analysis for time and availability of internal osteosynthesis in injured persons suffering from associated multitrauma and unfavourable predicted lethality. It allows considerably reducing hospitalisation time and observing locomotorium physiological features as much as possible, particularly in multifragmental juxta-articular and intraarticular fractures, ensuring maximum stabilisation of fractures, starting rehabilitation treatment earlier terms and reducing disability.

EFFECT: reduced hospitalisation time and disability.
