FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to traumatology and orthopaedics and covers management of severe burn-related radiocarpal contractures. The first stage includes progressive distraction of skin cicatrices, tendons, joint capsule and neurovascular bundle with using an external transosseous fixation device. The second stage includes excision of skin cicatrices with wound closing by a thick split skin graft.
EFFECT: provided wound closing, required functional joint recovery, reliable joint fixation, more rapid engraftment, reduced injuries, elimination of postoperative complications, reduced treatment time.
