SUBSTANCE: invention relates to cutters. The proposed pyro cutter comprises a casing with a through hole accommodating expendable element, pin to remove cotter, percussion-trigger mechanism, timing retarder ahead of gas-forming charge, cylindrical knife with double cutting edge. The timing retarder represents a chain of pressed charges of igniting and retarding compositions. Ahead of igniting charge, there is a sleeve with the pressed in igniting charge and a firing pin. A channel is arranged between the igniting charges, aligned with the said sleeve axis. Nearby the aforesaid through hole accommodating expendable element and on the side opposite to knife, a substrate is arranged made from the material that features strength smaller than that of the knife and greater than that of expendable element. The knife is furnished with seal rings. The said substrate can be made from fluoroplastic.

EFFECT: higher reliability of initiating pyrotechnic chain, smaller weight and sizes.
