FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: gas generator comprises initiator arranged in axial sleeve combined with cover provided with channels communicating with retarder and two gas-generating charges fitted in case with two gas outlets. Retarder shell accommodates delayed-burning pyro charges. Said gas-generating channel different-height charges fitted in case coaxially are separated by igniting tablets distributed in clearance there between to rest of stack of metal screen adjoining gas outlets. Cells of adjacent screens in stack feature different perimetres and shifted relative to each other. Axial sleeve is arranged inside channel gas-generating charges. Initiator is separated from retarder by calibrated through hole secured on shell ledge supporting amplifying igniting charge interacting with initiator. Threaded cover rests on gas-generating charges via elastic element.
EFFECT: higher efficiency and reliability.
