The device for manufacturing books contains a main processing centre for making personalised books, which includes connections between bilateral communication links through the first interface, authors copy of the book to be published, first input-output information unit, first memory unit, unit for manufacturing an electronic dummy, unit for selecting areas of replaceable text fragments, unit for polygraphic printing, second outlet which is connected with the store of each of the points of printing personalised books. Through the second interface, the second input-output information unit, unit for correcting the replaceable parameters of the text, first display and the printing block are interconnected; the outlet is connected with the binding and covering unit. At the main processing centre for manufacturing personalised books, a unit for selecting replaceable fragments of images is additionally put, connected bilaterally with a communication link with the first interface, interconnected at each printing point of personalised books through the second interface are the second memory unit, second display, third input-output information unit and unit for correcting replaceable image fragments.
