SUBSTANCE: invention relates to shipbuilding, particularly, to submarines, which break up ice cover with the resonance method. Device for breaking up ice cover is a submarine, capable of moving under ice with resonance speed and generating resonance bending-gravitational waves. On the surface of the body of the vessel on its fore end is installed a boundary layer trip in the form of a protractile from the body frame of end plates.

EFFECT: possibility to increase the effectiveness of breaking down ice cover by reducing costs and generating resonance bending-gravitational waves with amplitude, enough for breaking down ice cover.
