FIELD: shipbuilding.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of shipbuilding, in particular to submarines that destroy the ice cover by the resonance method. A device for breaking the ice cover is proposed, which is a submarine capable of moving under the ice at a resonant speed and exciting resonant flexural gravity waves (FGW). On the surface of the hull of the ship, at its bow, a boundary layer turbulizer is installed in the form of an end plate extending from the hull. The turbulator is made with the ability to periodically, with a frequency equal to the frequency of the resonant FGW, move out of the hull of the ship for a time equal to half the period of these waves, and slide into it.
EFFECT: increasing the efficiency of breaking the ice cover.
