FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: blood serum of the patient suffering from cardio ischemia (CI) is analysed for concentration of Ig G herpes simplex virus type 1 to evaluate the positivity coefficient (PC) indicating the manifestation degree of herpes simplex virus type 1 response. Assuming PC value, chronic cardiac failure (CCF) severity is predicted in the CI patients. Application of the method enables to establish high-risk group of severe (functional class III-IV) chronic cardiac failure in virus-positive CI patients.

EFFECT: higher clinical effectiveness.
