FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention represents versions of carrying out local contrast baths and relates to medicine, namely to balneotherapy. In first version patient first submerges one or both hands or feet into vessel with hot water with temperature 47°C, then for 20-15 sec - into vessel with cold water with temperature 20-6°C, repeating procedure 2-3 times. Starting from third or fourth procedure hot water temperature is gradually raised to 48-49°C. In second version of local contrast baths sitz baths or half-filled with water baths are used. First patient submerges feet into bath half-filled with hot water with temperature 47°C. Then they are seated in bath for time not less than 2 minutes until there is evident vascular response. After which patient is submerged into cold water with temperature 20-6°C for 15-20 sec, or is thrown cold water on, or takes cold shower.
