FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to pipe rolling industry and, in particular, to periodic cold and hot pipe rolling on roll-type mills. To calibrate cold-rolling tools, scanning profile curves of internal and external tools are represented with a geometrical point of different spline-functions node points. Besides, coordinates of internal and external tools profile curves are determined from the conditions of deformation ratio consistency and the given pipe deformation intensity distribution uniformity: , where dkx - groove caliber diametre; dox - mandrel diametre; y - offset cross section x to the value equal to the product of half-finished item supply m and runny drawing µx during rolling: y=x+m·µx.
EFFECT: application of new calibration methods ensures increasing output of accepted industrial pipes with homogeneous metal structure along pipe cross section and extending tool life time.
