FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to extruder auger comprising the auger shaft with several auger elements fitted thereon or detachable therefrom. The auger shaft features an outer toothed rim to get in mesh with the auger elements with inner toothed rim. The teeth of both rims feature an asymmetric profile. The inner and outer toothed rim teeth, that transmit the torque, are arranged, have their side surfaces arranged, relative to preferable extruder auger sense of rotation, at smaller angle to normal lines to the axis of rotation as compared with the mating opposite side surfaces of the teeth of both rims. Smaller angle varies between 0° and 5°, while the larger one makes some 45° to 15°.
EFFECT: transmission of extremely high torques at major-volume extruders.
