FIELD: physics; measurement.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to light industry, particularly to test engineering and can be used for determining and controlling deformation properties of leather and similar flexible materials, for example, artificial leather, film materials, as well as textiles and packages made from these materials. The device has means of holding the test sample, made in form of clamp rings, a shaft-indenter with a mechanism for loading the sample, a device for measuring displacement of the shaft-indenter and an electronic module which transmits information to a computer. One of the clamp rings of the apparatus for holding the test sample is fixed on an apparatus which moves back and forth from the zone of loading the sample to the zone of the device for measuring displacements of the shaft-indenter. The device for measuring displacements of the shaft-indenter has a step motor, the shaft of which joined to an actuating screw and carriage, provided with a differential photosensor and a contact sensor of the test sample.

EFFECT: possibility of determining deformation properties of test material during multiple-cycle loading using the "load - hold - unload - rest" cycle.
