FIELD: image processing.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to printing systems, to an imaging device and a method of controlling that device. The outcome is achieved due to that, the imaging device, which has an interface for direct communication with a printer, has apparatus for controlling saving in a storage medium identifying the information image, identifying the image, assigned by assignment apparatus. The given image identifying information is described differently from the identifier such that, the apparatus for converting the image identifying information into information, describing the identifier and apparatus for outputting information, converted by the converting apparatus, are connected to a printer through an interface.
EFFECT: possibility of transmitting and printing the required image even in a system which transmits given images using an identifier during reception of a list of requests for printing, described by the name of the image file.
