FIELD: physics; image processing.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to marking large surfaces with visual images. Visual images on large surfaces, for example, sports fields or road surfaces, indoors or outdoors, are created using a freely moving marking device, for example, a mobile robot. The mobile robot is a remote programmed, self-propelled robot, which independently and automatically creates at least one outline of a visual image on large surfaces by processing the surface, moving along a set of trajectories. Visual images are automatically generated through automatic calculation of trajectories of the moving robot. The generated visual images are scaled and therefore have high quality irregardless of the size of the generated image. Guarantee is given of fast generation of visual images with high quality and optimisation of the visual image for telecasting.
EFFECT: possibility of creating visual images on large surfaces using a compact device, providing for flexibility, efficiency and high quality of display.
