FIELD: physics, nuclear physics.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to the nuclear energy engineering, and particularly to processing nuclear waste. Method of extraction processing of high-active wastes with the fractionating of radionuclides, including processing solutions of high-active wastes with the extractant tributyl phosphate in an inert diluent with the transfer of rare earth metals and "ТПЭ" in an extract and separation from them caesium-strontium fractions. The solutions of high-active wastes before extraction are neutralised with hydroxides or carbonates of alkaline metals till pH 1 and wash the obtained extract rare earth metals and "ТПЭ" with a solution of aluminium nitrate adding the cleaning solution to the main water flow. Advantage of the invention lies in that, the high degree of separation of rare earth metals - "ТПЭ" and caesium-strontium during the fractionation of high-active wastes is achieved using one extractant, and not several extractants.
EFFECT: more reliable procedure of processing nuclear waste due to eliminating, at the stage of extractive processing, high-active wastes with fractionating of radionuclides of extractants, which are incompatible with the extractant, used in PUREX - process.
