FIELD: medicine; traumatology.
SUBSTANCE: investigated patient during 1st day of staying in hospital is subject to impedancemetry to determine fluid volume in hepatic sinusoids. Measuring electrodes are applied in main liver mass area. Additionally, interelectrode distance and body surface is measured. Fluid volume index in hepatic sinusoids (FVIHS) is calculated by expression: FVIHS = (ρ·L2)/(Z2·S·1000), where ρ - constant of blood volume resistance, 150 Ohm·cm; L - interelectrode distance, cm; Z - base impedance, Ohm; S - body surface, m2; 1000 - conversion to liters. If FVIHS value is more than 1.72 l/m2, unfavourable clinical outcome of craniocerebral injury is predicted.
EFFECT: method widens opportunities in prediction of craniocerebral injury clinical outcome.
