METHOD FOR PREDICTION OF CLINICAL OUTCOME OF SEVERE CRANIOCEREBRAL INJURY Russian patent published in 2015 - IPC A61B5/03

Abstract RU 2558472 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to clinical neurosurgery and neurotraumatology. An intracranial pressure (ICP) oscillation intensity is studied in a single period of time with using a dispersion. Every hour within 24 hours, the ICP is measured by means of a parenchymatous or ventricular sensor embedded into the skull. The recorded values are recorded on a monitor, statistically processed, and process variability strength (E2) is calculated by formula, and the higher E2 is, the worse prognosis of the clinical outcome of the severe craniocerebral injury is made.

EFFECT: method increases the prediction reliability of the clinical outcomes of the severe craniocerebral injury that is ensured by analysing the 24-hour variations of the ICP parameters and calculating the process variability strength.
