METHOD OF DIAGNOSING GESTOSIS IN PREGNANT WOMEN Russian patent published in 2010 - IPC A61B5/05

Abstract RU 2407433 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to obstetrics, and can be used for early diagnostics of gestosis in pregnant women after 20 weeks of pregnancy. For this purpose volume of current-conducting fluid in hepatic sinusoids is determined in examined patient. Measuring electrodes are applied in zone of main liver body location, additionally inter-electrode distance is measures and index of volume of fluid in hepatic sinusoids (IVFHS) is calculated by formula IVFHS=(ρ×L2)/(Z2×S×1000), where IVFHS is index of volume of fluid in hepatic sinusoids (l/m), ρ is constant, showing volume blood resistivity - 150 Om cm, L is inter-electrode distance (cm), Z is base impedance (Om), S is body area (m2), 1000 is index for conversion into litres and if value of IVFHS is higher than 1.10 l/m2 gestosis is diagnosed in pregnant women.

EFFECT: method allows to carry out early gestosis diagnostics, in addition, examination is carried out in non-invasive way with high rate of obtaining results, does not require additional preparation of pregnant women and attracts by low cost.
