MULTIVALVULAR MITRAL AND AORTIC DISEASE SURGICAL CORRECTION COMBINED WITH ACTIVE INFECTIVE ENDOCARDITIS Russian patent published in 2009 - IPC A61B17/00

Abstract RU 2355327 C2

FIELD: medicine; cardiosurgery.

SUBSTANCE: in patients suffering from destructed paravular structures, the excision of uncovered aortic and mitral valves, is followed with sanitation of infection nidus. Then mitral xenoprosthesis PeriCore is implanted in specified projection of target left ventricle. The prosthesis is implanted in a suprannular position with 14-16 separate flat-topped with xenopericardium pads. Herewith stick in and prick out points are marked through the tissues not modified with infection. It is followed with implantation of aortic bioprosthesis Kemerovo-AB-composite. And lower stitches are ensured with three uninterrupted blanket sutures Prolene 4/0 within fibrous ring. Stick in and prick out points are delivered through unmodified tissues of target left ventricle. Upper stitches are made with three uninterrupted blanket sutures Prolene 4/0 from the middle sinuses to commissure vertices. The sutures are delivered outside and fastened on the pads excluding abscess cavities and destructed tissue nidus of aortic root from the blood flow with bioprosthesis walls.

EFFECT: method allows preventing paraprosthetic endocarditis.
