FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ferrous metallurgy, particularly it relates to electric furnace steelmaking. Method includes charging of metal stock, consisting of metallurgical scrap, cast iron, metallised pellets or briquettes, converter vanadium slag, metal stock melting. In metal stock it is used 30-50% of metallized pellets or briquettes, non containing titanium and vanadium oxide, and vanadium-bearing cast iron with vanadium content 0.5-0.6%. Mass portion of converter vanadium slag of metallised pellets mass is 2-10%, portion of vanadium cast iron of metal stock mass is 10-15%. Before feeding of pellets or briquettes into electroarc furnace is implemented its heating up to the temperature 300-500°C and post reduction by effluent gases of arc furnace.

EFFECT: alloying of steel by vanadium during reduction in steel impurities of nonferrous metal.
