FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ferrous metallurgy, particularly, to charge charging method to arc electric furnace for steel smelting. Scrap metal and HBI, amount of which is (20–30) % of total weight of metal jelly, is supplied into furnace by two baskets, on the bottom of which pad of 10–15 tonnes of light scrap is loaded, wherein into first basket (60–75) % of the total weight of HBI used for melting is loaded, and the second - the remaining part of HBI, and on said pad from lightweight scrap of first basket is first loaded with 40–65 % HBI, and the rest amount of HBI is distributed in layers at 2–5 % HBI through every 10 tonnes of light scrap, and on said pad from light scrap second basket - 10–15 % HBI, and the rest of HBI is distributed in layers of 2–5 % HBI through every 10 tonnes of light scrap.
EFFECT: invention widens the base of components used in the electric arc furnace furnace, improves the quality of steel by reducing impurities of non-ferrous metals, reduces duration of melting, reduces consumption of electrodes, electric energy and metal waste.
