FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention concerns chemical and electrochemical cleaning of metal surfaces to remove oil smears, such as rolling mill lubricants, by cleaning solutions containing caustic soda, phosphates and surfactants. Method involves surface smear cleaning by aqueous cleaning solution, and phase division of solution waste into organic pollutants and cleaning solution components. When surface cleaning rate falls below 96%, the solution is corrected to reach original state and returned to cleaning cycle. Return of corrected solution to cleaning cycle is performed till cleaning rate reaches reference value, then cleaning solution waste is cooled to 15-35°C and undergoes mechanical processing till it is viable for phase division of solution waste into organic pollutants and cleaning solution components by filtration method.
EFFECT: prolonged use of cleaning solution, preserving and recycling large amount of useful cleaning solution components.
