FIELD: heating.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical equipment of internal combustion engines. A spark plug for such engine comprises an insulator fixed in the casing, a centre electrode set in the insulator and with its end being placed outside the insulator and a side electrode embracing the centre electrode so that to form an annular gap in-between. The side electrode is made as a leg with a collar being fixed at its end face and spaced from the end face; the end of the centre electrode is fitted in the collar centre and is spread outwards at the end face so that to create an outer surface in the form of a quadric surface fragment. The collar side wall facing the centre electrode is made as a quadric surface fragment with its concavity mirroring the concavity of the centre electrode outer surface at the expanded section. The centre electrode end face is located in the plane passing through the collar outer surface.
EFFECT: improving performance characteristics due to the stability of the spark formation and reducing time of the air-fuel mixture inflammation.
