FIELD: power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: inventions related to power machines and may find application in transport and heat power engineering. The specified tasks are solved in the system of fuel and air mixture ignition, comprising a spark plug with a central electrode, an insulator and a side electrode, having a working part, a source of energy, a high-voltage transducer, a distributor of ignition and a high-voltage wire, by the fact that in accordance with the invention in the insulator there is an additional electrode, the working part of the side electrode is made as Ω-shaped, at the same time the central electrode is connected by a wire with a source of energy, and one of ends of the working part of the side electrode is grounded, and the second end of the working part of the side electrode via a switch and a time relay is connected to a source of energy. The specified tasks are solved in a spark plug comprising an axial central electrode for ignition spark discharge, an insulator and a side grounded electrode with a working section and a central hole, by the fact that according to the invention inside the insulator there is an additional electrode connected with the central one in its lower part.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of a spark discharge for reduction of fuel consumption and emission of hazardous substances and increased reliability of ignition.
