SUBSTANCE: the spark plug has a central electrode, body with a lateral plate- like electrode in the form of a strip and an insulator positioned between them. The lateral electrode projects above the body end and is made completely or partially perforated. The perforation holes form microprechambers, they are positioned beginning from the level of the body ends, insulator or central electrode to the end of the lateral electrode.
EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of the plug ignition capacity due to a multiple increase of the dynamic and thermal energy of the initial nucleation site of ignition of the fuel-air mixture in the area of the plug electrodes, improved start of engines at low temperatures, reduced toxicity of exhaust gases, saving of fuel and improved dynamic characteristics of transport facilities.
