FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention is attributed to electric engineering, in particular to devices preventing ice depositing on overhead high-voltage electric power lines (EPL) without customer curtailment. Technical result consists in simplicity and effectiveness of claimed device and wherever possible, removing ice formations without customer curtailment and without sophistication of electric power line, i.e. without adding redundant or bypass wires. The device comprises external relative to EPL current source performed with possibility to be connected to current-carrying wires of EPL. In this device, source of current is made as high frequency generator capable to provide power calculated from formula PG=q*A*ΔT where q is heat emission factor of upper hot wire layer to air, A is wire surface area, ΔT is temperature of wire heating relative to ambient temperature. Herein, generator output is connected to capacitive adapter performed being able to match out resistance of high frequency generator with input resistance of EPL. This adapter has number of outputs corresponding to number of EPL wires.
EFFECT: obtaining simple and effective device for removing existing ice formations without customer curtailment and without sophistication of electric power line, ie ie without adding redundant or bypass wires.
