FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to mammalogy, and concerns therapy of fibrocystic mastopathy, specifically lacteal cysts. An ultrasound-guided puncture needle is inserted into cyst cavity with a flexible optical fibre inserted thereto. With using only one puncture needle, continuous laser light is applied. It is preceded with evacuation of at least 50% of cyst content through the puncture needle. Exposure involves continuous laser light of wave length 970 nm, power 2.0-3.0 W and exposition length 2.5-4 minutes. Thereafter residual cyst content is evacuated.
EFFECT: method allows reducing injuries due to indirect thermal exposure on cyst walls and operation length thus ensuring recurrence prevention.
