FIELD: oil and gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to processes of mass exchange in counter flow of liquid and gas in absorption and rectifying devices with contact steps in form of trays or head pieces and can be implemented in gas, oil petroleum chemistry and other branches of industry. The method consists in interaction of liquid and gas on the contact steps where liquid and gas are supplied in counter flow; also there are arranged alternating regions of predominant pass of gas and regions of predominant drainage of liquid. Regions of predominant pass of gas are arranged by means of facilitating raised hydraulic pressure for liquid in them on cellular base at maintaining the condition pl<pg+Δpr, where pg is gas pressure, pl is pressure of layer of liquid over a hole, and Δpr is pressure conditioned by resistance caused by forces of surface tension. In addition regions of predominant pass of gas are arranged for more intensive and uniform exchange of liquid and gas in the space between the contact steps above and/or under the regions of predominant drainage of liquid of the contact step.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of mass exchange process due to improved conditions for ordered motion of liquid and gas at each contact step and due to improved liquid drainage.
