COMPOSITION AND METHOD OF MIXING BENZENES AT TERMINALS Russian patent published in 2009 - IPC C10L1/02

Abstract RU 2356935 C2

FIELD: oil and gas industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to mixing terminal benzenes outside petroleum refinery. Here are disclosed the following: the method of terminal producing either benzene or mixture not containing oxygenator with higher octane number out of equivalent common benzene or high-octane substance -HOS-; the method consists in mixing seasonal high-octane mixture of terminal with equivalent benzene of common grade or HOS; the method of terminal producing benzene or HOS with higher octane number out of equivalent common benzene or HOS consists in two stages: determination of nominal values of required parametres of volatility of equivalent common benzene or HOS and preparing high-octane mixture of terminal with such parametres of volatility, which at mixing with equivalent common benzene or equivalent common HOS with nominally required parametres of volatility will be close to parametres of volatility of equivalent common benzene or equivalent common HOS; there is also disclosed a composition for terminal mixing benzene or HOS of medium or higher quality with a known set of volatility parametres from equivalent common benzene or equivalent common HOS; the composition presents a flow of mixed hydrocarbons with octane number at least 95; the composition has at least one parametre of Reid vapour pressure, T10, T50, T90, V/L and controllability index meeting requirements of ASTM specifications for terminal benzene or terminal HOS which are produced out of the composition.

EFFECT: producing wide range of terminal benzenes at terminal with comparatively low contents of pyrenes, naphthalene and aromatics.
