AIR TARGET SIMULATOR Russian patent published in 2009 - IPC F41J9/08

Abstract RU 2357188 C2

FIELD: weapons.

SUBSTANCE: invention concerns military equipment, particularly artillery training missiles, and can be applied in air attack weapon simulation in training of air defense system crews and of enemy air defense suppression. Metal coating is applied to at least 70% of rear lens reflector surface area in air target simulator, with coating thickness within 12-15 mcm, and retroflectors are made in block pattern in the form of cruciform elements and divided in sections by at least two sector-shaped transverse partitions. Ends of retroflector are placed at distance larger than emitting locator wavelength from boundary partitions, and the other partitions are positioned at regular pace of at least 7 wavelengths. Surface of cruciform metal elements and transverse partitions is coated with highly electroconductive coating, such as copper, of at least 25-30 mcm thickness. Retroflector block length comprises 23-30 wavelengths of receiving locator and includes 3-4 sections.

EFFECT: enhanced stability of reflected radiolocation signal reception, all-aspect view of mobile jet missile of air target simulator, including lateral sector of radar view range.
