FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to electrical engineering and specific features of designing submersible dc motors, used particularly for driving submersible pumps used in oil wells. The electric motor comprises an immovable armature coil, a case surrounding the armature coil, apparatus for creating a magnetic field, fixed in the case and interacting with the armature coil for creating electromagnetic torque, an immovable collector, electrically connected to the armature coil, and brushes, rotating around the immovable collector and connected an external electrical circuit. The immovable collector together with the brushes rotating around it are closed inside an insulating chamber, in which is fitted an immovable slip ring for connecting the power cable and the brushes, with two tracks insulated from each other, for movement of the respective brushes. Each track is connected to the wire of the power cable with the corresponding polarity.
EFFECT: more reliable electric motor due to prevention of the danger of short circuit between brushes and the collector, easier manufacture and assembly with easier control and regulation of frequency of the motor in a wide range.
