FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: computer diagnostic method of open-angle glaucoma pertains to medicine, namely, to ophthalmology. During examination of the patient's central visual field test program of his/her actions as a reaction to light image - stimuli on the computer monitor in various directions, made as a scale marked on the monitor screen around the central point of four paracentral quadrates and 12 periphery quadrates with visual angle of 10°×10° is used. Preliminary, eye of the patients is fixed at the flashing point in the centre of the monitor screen. During observation stable position of the visual axis of eyes is maintained. In each of the quadrates randomly without repetitions white - and - black grid - stimuli are flashed with low spatial frequency of 0.25 cycle/fad, exposed to counter-phase flicking of high temporal frequency 30 Hz of vertical or horizontal direction within time span up to 40 seconds at stimulus contrast increasing from 0 to 100% at a stable speed during the entire process of the examination. Test program of reaction - actions of the examined person is processed in computer in the form of a matrix net, in the cells wherein data on the level of retinal photosensitivity in central temporal and nasal parts of the eye are contained. Relative value of photosensitivity level is determined in each of the quadrates from the expression R=(T-t), where R- level of photosensitivity, T - time necessary to reach maximum contrast of the stimulus, t - time, taken by the patients to see stimulus in the given orientation.
EFFECT: present method increases accuracy, sensitivity and decreases time of diagnostics, it is effective in mass screening.
