FIELD: medicine; medical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: method involves isolating one patient eye vision field from that of the other one. Movable luminous chromatic image is shown to the eye under study by scanning its vision field with chromatic light beam. Fixed image is shown to the second eye for fixing sight. Psychophysical patient response is studied for marking vision defect zones on multi-focal map on scanning lines uniformity disorders boundaries. Scanning is carried out by moving the light beam in radial direction or along a spiral line. The device has patient monitor, physician monitor, processor having control unit and tube having light-impermeable longitudinal partition. The patient monitor and physician monitor are connected to computer. Processor enables one to build two windows on monitor display screen, one containing fixed image and the other one showing the stimulating tests which fields are scanned with light beam. Two windows are also built on physician monitor display screen one of which is like the second patient monitor display window and the second one has multi-focal map image.
EFFECT: high accuracy of examination.
