PROGNOSTIC METHOD OF RECURRENT RESPIRATORY DISEASES IN CHILDREN Russian patent published in 2009 - IPC A61B10/00 G01N33/50

Abstract RU 2357675 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention pertains to medicine, namely to pediatrics and is intended for individual prediction of development of recurrent respiratory diseases in preschool children living in ecologically unfavourable areas. The following risk factors are evaluated: gender, age, dwelling conditions, exposure to frequently ill relatives, visiting kindergarten, occupational hazard of the mother, complicated course of pregnancy, ARVI in the mother during pregnancy, labour pathology, ARVI on the 1st year of life, combination of anemia and erytrocytosis; following laboratory parametres are determined: hemoglobin level, quantity of erythrocytes, quantity of lymphocytes, quantity of T-lymphocytes, quantity of B-lymphocytes, quantity of active phagocytes, immunoglobulin G concentration, immunoglobulin A concentration, immunoglobulin M concentration. Detected risk factors and laboratory values are assigned prognostic indexes, contained in Tables 3 and 4, presented in the description. Received prognostic indexes are summed. High probability of development of recurrent respiratory diseases in children is predicted with the total sum value more than +7.

EFFECT: method enables increasing accuracy of prediction of frequency of recurrent respiratory diseases in preschool children dwelling in ecologically unfavourable areas.
