FIELD: blasting operations.
SUBSTANCE: compound contains red phosphorus, rubber binder, and carbon black powder dispersed therein. Fluorine rubber is included as rubber binder. Ignition coating used as powder coating is made of meal black powder and formed with the use of polyvinyl alcohol as adhesive. The method of manufacturing powder-coated granular pyrotechnic compound for infrared smoke screening includes preparing red phosphorus gel in fluorine rubber solution, dispersing carbon black powder in gel, granulating, spraying with polyvinyl alcohol water solution, and then applying powder onto the surface of granules.
EFFECT: increased functional reliability and obscuring power of a smoke cloud formed by burning pyrotechnic compound.
