FIELD: weapons and ammunition.
SUBSTANCE: proposed grenade comprises modular case made from moulded polymer material filled with functional granular charge of smoke-forming composition including commercial red phosphorus, rubber binder with distributed particles of pure carbon and igniter. Smoke-forming 0.5-5.0 mm-size granules are coated by powder pulp with weight making 13% to 15% of functional charge weight. Igniter seat is closed by quick-release cap and is separated from functional charge by combustible web. Temporary opening for loading through damping gasket is closed by cover glued to the case. Note here that percussion cap of igniter is communicated by fire channel with baffle of aforesaid case seat and is arranged above spring-loaded percussion pin with radial arm locked by cotter pin.
