FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: method consists in installation of tuyere apparatus with gap relative to section of refractory lining located under it. Also height of the above said gap is set preliminary, and monitoring of gap is performed by means of a linear sensor of displacement.
EFFECT: improved protection of tuyere apparatus and refractory lining from damages.
