LABORATORY ELECTROLYSIS CELL Russian patent published in 2009 - IPC C25B1/46

Abstract RU 2358039 C1

FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: proposed laboratory electrolysis cell comprises a case, made from dielectric material and filled with electrolytic liquid, and electrodes - anode and cathode, put inside the case, connected to a current source and a magnetic device. The anode is sealed at the centre of the case at its bottom, and is made in form of a copper connecting pipe, on the inner wall of which a wire is soldered. The wire passes through a hole in a dielectric stopper which tightly closes the connecting pipe. The wire is connected to the current source through a rheostat and an ampere metre. The cathode is detachable and is in form of plane parallel sheets, fitted on the raise edge of the case and connected to the current source. The magnetic device is fitted over the space between the anode and the cathode, with provision for changing orientation of poles.

EFFECT: simple to make, reliable, demonstrativeness and easier to use.
