FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: electrolysis cell has an inductor for heating and mixing the electrolyte and electrodes which are connected to a source of asymmetric alternating current. The cathode is the bottom of the container made from electroconductive material whose lateral surface is shielded by electrically insulating refractory material. A graphite anode is placed in a membrane vessel made from ceramic material with anion conductance and is placed at the centre of the container.

EFFECT: broader functional capabilities of electrolysis and higher purity of obtained metal.
