FIELD: mining.
SUBSTANCE: hinge sub consists of body and hollow shaft with spherical support heel equipped with contacting elements for transmitting torque, for example with teeth, of spherical end-thrust bearings, installed in body, of sealing element made in form of reinforced rubber sleeve, on ends of which there are assembled metal fittings contacting with body and hollow shaft and equipped with sealing. The sealing sleeve is equipped with a protecting element in form of a steel spring or spiral made out of polymer material. A spring loaded ring with spherical surface is assembled on the shaft; the ring contacts a response spherical surface of the shaft. The center of spherical surfaces coincides with the center of the spherical support heel.
EFFECT: increased reliability of hinge sub operation.
